Surgeries in the near future (old)

Surgeries in the near future

Well I went to see Doctor Guettler and when he read my MRI results he seen that I have fluid going up behind the cartilige that is breaking away. So surgery is in the near future yet again, that makes number four.

While there I told Sergio to make an appointment to get his knee looked at he's been having some trouble with it for a couple years now. He blew it off to daily stress on his knees but having a history of knee pain its not normal. So he had an MRI while here on leave and finally found out the cause of his pain. He has two tears one in his ACL and one in his Medial Meniscus. Which causes a lot of pain for anyone who has ever had any tears in their knee. So surgery is an option for him as well and will most likely happen when he is back home or in Italy and has time to deal with it and me to take care of him.

My Husband - Sergio
Current mood: loved
Category: Romance and Relationships

My husband Sergio is an amazing person. Inside and out. I love him to death. He is currently in Korea with the Air Force. I hate it! But distance has never been an obstacle for us. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." Long distance really makes or breaks a couple. You have to have a strong true love and a dedication to only that person. Which we both have. You also have to have trust without it you have nothing, I don't care if the relationship isn't long distance and most importanly you have to keep communication open, like with all relationships as well.

I have never been as happy in a relationship ever. I have never felt so secure and safe. He is my rock. The love between us is literally something you see in a fairy tale and that is the way I get to feel everyday that I am with him. I thank God everyday for bringing Sergio into my life. He is my soul-mate. I can't imagine a deeper love than what the two of us share. There are not too many people out there who get to experience that either. I never thought I would find my one true love like we all hope for as children but I did on November 29, 2003.

To Sergio: I can't wait until you are back here in my arms where you belong. I love you and only you with all my heart and soul. I can't wait to start our family together. I will do my best to be able to tell you at Christmas that you are going to be a father. (Of course I need your help ;) )
I love him with all my heart. Nothing is ever going to change that and nothing anybody can do will ever ruin what we have... so try if you want, it only brings us closer!

What I don't understand is people who try to interfere, the what ifs or whatever. Get over it and get lost. You will never get to experience what I have with him. You can say whatever you want about me I don't care. I can take it and I don't let things bother me, but try to mess with my man and you are asking for trouble. Don't waste your time because it won't be me on the losing end.

Update on my little guys... random thoughts...
Current mood: tired

So I just wanted to update everyone on how the boys have been doing.
Joshua - Loves school! He can count to 100 on his own... How many 4 year olds do you know can do that? He knows his entire ABCs, he is recognizing small words and is now learning the sounds that each letter in the alphabet makes and how to associate it to words! Seems they learn a lot more in Kindergarten these days than when I went. He also writes his name pretty well. He can use the keyboard for the computer to type his name in too! He is hardly playing video games anymore and not that he can't he just doesn't want to! He's found other things to do, like he LOVES to read books. Hes so smart sometimes I can't stand it, he will have full conversations with you like a little adult and asks some pretty amazing questions. AND if its past his bedtime he will let you know and tell you that he needs to be in bed or he won't wake up in time for school! Finally some stability in his life and he loves it, shows how much kids really need it!
Seth - Is potty trained!! No thanks to his parents... they didn't even work on him. He goes everytime and only has accidents at night... hes still young though, just turned 3! So at night and at naptime he wears pull-ups and underwear during the day. Seth can count to almost 20 on his own, he will chant along the ABCs with Josh but misses a few, hes still learning. He is in pre-school were they are teaching him his alphabet. He's doing very well. He is also practicing his name! Hes our little sassy one and likes to always ask Why and What if, which is good, it stimulates the brain but he thinks hes being funny and hes really being sassy. We are working on that. Hes also our little Cookie Monster he has the ME problem (Me want, Me thirsty, Me hungry) He's working on it though and doing pretty good, he corrects himself on his own now most of the time. He will be starting speech therapy soon I hope, it will be really good for him.
Caiden - He's mostly a happy little guy, except when you stop him from doing whatever hes doing. He throws a complete and all out fit! Reminds me too much of his stupid mom. Just goes to show how much babies pick up on at such a young age. He throws himself on the floor and stiffens up his entire body and arches his back, screaming and crying. Then he will either hit or yell and shake his fist (How else would a 23 month old learn this if not by seeing it by his stupid parents?) When he is done, its completley over like turning on and off a switch. On a lighter note, he LOVES to paint, color, draw, anything to make a mess or get a little creative, which is good. He likes to play with action figures and make them fight each other (acting out what hes seen with his parents again). But hes expressing his anger so we don't pay any attention when he does that. Hes definatley got some built up anxiety and anger. He tries to sing along the ABCs with the others and counts to 3. He is always copying what his brothers say, learning a lot. He loves school too, always happy while there and lights up when we walk through the door.
Random thoughts...

So I was mapping out all my daily things like taking the kids to school, going to school myself and physical therapy, thinking that MAYBE I could get a part time job and make some money once my doctor allows me to go back to working. I found I only have 26.5 "free hours" each WEEK. Time that I could give to a job and its like 3 hours one day and 4.5 the next and very sparatic like that. Seasonal help might work for that, but then the thing is when Sergio comes home in November I don't want to have to work and take away from my time with him, hes only going to be here for three weeks and then trying to get Thanksgiving to go to his parents, they would prolly fire me before they even hired me! So, I haven't figured out what I want to do with that yet, prolly wait until after he has to go back to Korea which I DON'T want him to :( .
Well I will leave it at that for now... comment if you want!

I'm sorry if this offends you... NO WAIT, I'M NOT!

I'm sorry if this offends you... NO WAIT, I'M NOT!
Current mood: pissed off

Ok, so as I have been reading bulletins and looking at myspace profiles and having debate in class, I have to say this.

Anyone who says they are against this war and against our troops, against our military or against the president. Think on this for a minute.

After 9-11 we were all upset, shocked, heartbroken, scared and just plain tore up. So in the mist of all that we had a president that stood up to say We will do something, we won't let this go unpunished, or something along those lines.

He declared a WAR ON TERROR.

Then people sit there and complain and say he doesn't know what he's doing, and all this other crap.

If he would have said "well this is a tragedy but there is nothing we can do we need to keep the peace".

Everyone would have been pissed off and wondered why we had a president who didn't have the balls to do something and just let these people get away with it. RIGHT?

He's damned if he does and damned if he didn't.

So, now here we are in war...
You say he's finishing his daddy work? WRONG. The former president Clinton told Saddam if he did not give up his weapons of mass destruction then we would do what we had to do. (Thats a threat of war) Don't believe me - DO SOME RESEARCH!

You say "Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11 it was Afghanistan?" Ok, so like President Bush said Its a WAR ON TERROR (or terrorism) We are fighting Terrorists, not a country alone!

You say "we are killing innocent people". Would you rather it be in your backyard? On our soil or theirs? They showed us on 9-11 a wake up call that we CAN be attacked on our own soil. Do you know these people train their children from the time they can talk that Americans are the devil and we are power hungry and want to take over the world so they are supposed to kill us in the name of Allah to get 70 virgins when they get to heaven???

** WHATS WORSE... you know what these "innocent people" are planning to do?? The next wave of terrorism is to shut down our country... the only way to do that is through OUR CHILDREN. Terrorists have already done it in Russia. Going into the elementary schools, raping and killing children infront of their mothers, killing all the men first because they pose a threat. Strapped bombs to the school windows, people pissing and crapping themselves and drinking their own piss just to stay hydrated! Take the older kids to the roof of the school and shoot them in the back of the head while everyone watches. THEN BLOW THEM ALL UP! Still think they are innocent? THINK AGAIN. Its coming to this country these men and women are fighting for.
So, I just had to say how this all pisses me off when people say crap about the war, the president and ESPECIALLY OUR TROOPS!! Which includes my friends, family and husband.

These men and women are over there in a foreign country away from their families, their children, their wives. Missing anniversaries, holidays, newborn baby's births. Sleeping on cots, in tents, in the ground, just so you don't have to, so you have the freedom to sit here and say stupid shit like that. If it wasn't them it would be you! You need to stop taking your freedoms for granted someone is paying the price EVERYDAY!

ITS PURE IGNORANCE. Yes, if you are one of these people YOU are ignorant to think that we can just sit back and say "peace peace" They will try to attack again and again. We are in this for the long run and I don't agree with it all but as an AMERICAN I will support our troops and our president even if I don't agree with it all. I think he's doing a great job for the situation he was put in.

** For those of you who take high offense to the word Ignorance in the dictionary it means... "The condition of being uneducated, unaware, or uninformed. "

So once again, you are ignorant if you are one of these people I am talking about!
So don't be ignorant EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU SPEAK!

President Bush didn't cause 9-11 and he didn't cause Katrina... Clinton didn't have to deal with half this crap and if he had backed up his words with Saddam 9-11 would have NEVER happened! Do some research!

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!

LETS SHOW OUR TROPPS WE CARE!

Naturalism, logic and reality

Those arguing against creation may not even be conscious of their most basic presupposition, one which excludes God a priori, namely naturalism/materialism (everything came from matter, there is no supernatural, no prior creative intelligence).2 The following two real-life examples highlight some problems with that assumption:

A young man approached me at a seminar and stated, 'Well, I still believe in the big bang, and that we arrived here by chance random processes. I don't believe in God.' I answered him, 'Well, then obviously your brain, and your thought processes, are also the product of randomness. So you don't know whether it evolved the right way, or even what right would mean in that context. Young man, you don't know if you're making correct statements or even whether you're asking me the right questions.'

The young man looked at me and blurted out, 'What was that book you recommended?' He finally realized that his belief undercut its own foundations —such 'reasoning' destroys the very basis for reason.

On another occasion, a man came to me after a seminar and said, 'Actually, I'm an atheist. Because I don't believe in God, I don't believe in absolutes, so I recognize that I can't even be sure of reality.' I responded, 'Then how do you know you're really here making this statement?' 'Good point,' he replied. 'What point?' I asked. The man looked at me, smiled, and said, 'Maybe I should go home.' I stated, 'Maybe it won't be there.' 'Good point,' the man said. 'What point?' I replied.

This man certainly got the message. If there is no God, ultimately, philosophically, how can one talk about reality? How can one even rationally believe that there is such a thing as truth, let alone decide what it is?

A much needed update

A much needed update
Current mood: stressed

Well, its been a while since I wrote a blog, so the time has come. Whats new with me? A lot is new. I have temporary protective custody of my brothers three boys, there are four but the 5 1/2 month old most likely has a different father so he was placed in foster care. The boys Joshua Jr, Seth and Caiden are 4 1/2, 3 and 1 1/2. Protective custody means that CPS removed the children from the home because it was found to be unsafe and abuse/neglect. Can you believe the state gives kids back to people like that?? The parents have to go through 8 weeks of parenting classes and 8 weeks of anger management. They have to submit to random drug and alcohol screens at their own expense. They have to get and maintain a job for a minimun of three months, turn in all pay stubs. They have to provide a safe home for the children to return to, get it inspected and turn in all utility bills. Once every 7 days the children have to visit with thier parents. The first few visits were rough, they are getting better. I guess I wouldn't mind going either if I was being bribed with toys though. Joshua the 4 year old is already a con-artist and a very convincing liar. Thanks to his parents. Seth is afraid of people touching him anywhere on his neck, he thinks you are trying to choke him since that is what his mother used to do. Grab him by the neck lift him off the ground and yell in his face, gritting her teeth saying how she was going to kill him. Nice mother huh? Caiden was completley shut off from the world, created his own world and stayed to himself. He has opened up so much, talks all the time, says sentences even. Plays with other kids and has a good time. It will be a shame for the kids to be returned to that mess after all we have done to try to show them there is a different way of life! Their parents are drug users, marijuana mostly but I think their mother is on worse. Its really sad for those of you who know the whole situation or have been around my stupid brother and this girl hes with. After all this he STILL wants to be with her. Knowing that she threatened to kill his son, knowing that she cheated on him and not only cheated but got knocked up too! Knowing that his third son might not be his as well. Its rough. The kids are now in daycare going on their second week and they LOVE IT!! Its so good for them. They go four days a week for 8 hours each day. Josh and Seth are in a preschool program until Josh starts K-5 on Sept. 5th. He is very excited he is going to a big school (that is what he always tells me). The interaction that they get with other kids and the stucture of it all is great. It also gives me a much needed break too! I started school on Aug. 21 and go four days a week, then I have to go to physical therapy for my knee three days a week, and manage to get the kids back up to Port Huron once a week to visit with those stupid people. My brother doesn't even talk to me anymore, says he hates me and was trying to cause some serious problems a little while ago. I don't really care though. Its about the kids not him, so if somehow I have rescued the kids from that or they grow up knowing there IS a different way of life then it will all be worth it. They didn't ask to come into this world and they didn't have a choice. My brother chose to stay the kids didn't have one, so I gave them one. If my brother wants to hate me for what he did, then so be it. He's angry because I have them well if I would have told CPS I wouldn't take them they would all be split up between foster homes. I couldn't let that happen and the kids are so happy and healthy now. They don't even miss their parents! Thats gotta say something right? But I guess if I was left to myself or being abused I wouldn't miss that or them either. On a lighter note.... My wonderful husband comes home November 19 to December 14 and I can't wait!! We are going to drive to North Carolina to visit his family for Thanksgiving and then come back to Michigan. I won't get to see him for Christmas, our Anniversary or New Years now, but I get him sooner! So I guess it trades off. Hopefully I will be able to go back to Korea with him for a few weeks and spend that time with him, but I don't know. It isn't cheap to fly to Korea!
Well that is about it for now. Talk to you all soon!

Who is God 4of4

SPIRITUAL EYESIGHT

We need to be able to see God with the eyes of the Spirit to truly know Him. One of our major problems in fellowshipping with the Lord is that we do not know Him as He really is. Therefore, we are not able to serve Him in the way we would like. To be a victorious, overcoming Christian, we need to actually have three revelations:
(1) "To know who God is."
(2) "To know who we are."
(3) "To know who we are in Him" or rather "To know who He is in us."
First, we must know Who God Is. Some people say that no man can see God and live because a portion of Scripture in Exodus 33:20 that says, And he (the Lord) said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. Yet we see that Isaiah ...saw the Lord... (Isaiah 6:1). Looking at these two verses, there appears to be a contradiction. However, if we ask the Holy Spirit to give us revelation concerning these Scriptures, we discover that they are really not in opposition after all. We only need to view them in the proper perspective and context. This is particularly true of these Scriptures.

Doctrinal error emerges when people take a few Scriptures and build a doctrine on them. Because they are taken out of context, or out of balance, they don t interpret them to mean what the Bible is really portraying. The proper way to deal with Scripture is to view each portion of the Scripture as a part of the whole. In II Corinthians 3:6, we find this verse, Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. An able minister will not take the letter of the law and make a doctrine, but will allow the Spirit to reveal each portion of the Scripture as a part of the whole. Perhaps a better way for us to understand this would be to see that if we took one letter out of a word, we wouldn't have a complete word; or if we took one word out of a sentence, we wouldn't understand the sentence.

The same is true of the Word of God. We should study it in its totality and not isolate one portion of Scripture if we are to get the whole meaning. To do this we must remember that the great theme and whole message of the Bible is that God loved us and sent a Saviour, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins that we might have life through Him. He came to save us and give us abundant life. If we lose this message in any of our Scriptures, we lose the true identity and knowledge of God. We cannot love, worship and serve a God we cannot know. We must study other portions of God's word that deal with the same subject if we are to get complete light.

Keeping this principle in mind, let us look at our verses in Exodus and Isaiah again. The former verse says, No man can see God and live, and the latter, "... I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple" . He goes on to say in Isaiah 6:5, "Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts".

If we spiritually understand this, we will know that any man that really sees God will die. The old creature will die and the new creature will be born again. If we ever really get a glimpse of God and see Him for who He really is, we will die. Just as Isaiah here had the experience of seeing God, suddenly something else happened; he saw himself. He saw what he looked like and knew who he was -- a man with unclean lips.

We need this same revelation of who we are today. When we come to know the Lord, we find that there is nothing good in us; ...there is none righteous, no, not one (Romans 3:10). We see our sin in the light of His holiness. We see our unworthiness, our shame, our guilt; we see our need for the Saviour.

Sometimes we try to gain favor with God by our works, thinking if we do enough good things we can please Him. It is not our works that will attain a position in God, it's our relationship. Our works come as an overflow of our being with Jesus. As we fellowship with our Father, we begin to take on His nature. We desire that nature when we have seen the beauty of the Father. I caught a glimpse of that beauty and that is what I wanted, even though I thought, I am so weak, I could never be like Him. How could I ever attain anything in God, knowing all my faults and failures? It will be too hard; I will be doing good just to get to heaven.

The Lord revealed to me these were thoughts the devil was bringing to my mind, and that it was possible to overcome and walk in victory. Though I was weak, He was strong. I needed that revelation of "Who I was in Christ " or rather "Who He was in me". He wanted me to know, Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he (the Holy Spirit) that is in you, than he (the devil) that is in the world (I John 4:4). All He asks us to do is to yield ourselves completely to Him, and He will do the overcoming. He desires us to commit our lives totally, and He will do the changing and the molding. He changes our old natures to His new nature; old desires pass away and we have new desires.

Some people are afraid that if they yield everything to God they will lose their will and their personality. This is not true. He simply changes our will and our desires and brings our personalities to bloom. We really cannot become all that He intends until we give Him the right to begin that work. He creates within us a new nature.

We sometimes think that walking with God is hard when, in actuality, it is easy. We are the ones that make it hard. We often struggle and try so hard to please God with our good works and attempts to change our old nature, while His way is not difficult at all. Matthew 11:29-30 says, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. By this verse we can see if we are yoked with Him and have ceased to be rebellious to the will of God, we will have an easy walk with Him. The oxen represents a broken or tamed animal. We, in our old nature are untamed, but as we yield to the Lord, we will learn brokenness.

We are so concerned many times that if we go left instead of right, the Lord will be so angry with us and strike us with a big stick for missing Him. Our ideas of God are so warped. He is a beautiful Person and when we are truly trying to please Him, He is not angry with us.

If we think He is a harsh taskmaster, we miss the beauty of loving Him and fellowshipping with Him. If we allow Him to work in our lives, we find that we can overcome all obstacles and every problem the enemy uses to discourage us. In Him, we can do all things. Philippians 4:13 says, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. If I know who God is, that is, His nature, His power and His love, and if I know that in me there is no good thing (so that I am not tempted to be lifted in pride and take credit for things that should be credited to Jesus), then I also must know that in Him I have all of His power and authority to overcome anything. Praise God for this beautiful truth! We do not need to lead defeated Christian lives, but can walk in victory every day! It is essential to have these revelations in the proper order, too.

If we discover Who God is without the other two revelations, we may have an abnormal view of God. If we find out who we are without the knowledge of God, we will not be able to bear it. That is why so many commit suicide. They see themselves and can find no answers within, and therefore see no way out of their problems but to kill themselves. If we discover who we are in Christ or who Christ is in us before we get a glimpse of ourselves, we become lifted in pride, soon forgetting that it is not us accomplishing the works of God, but it is the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. So we need to make our discovery of God first, ourselves second, and then ourselves in Christ third. With these three revelations we truly can be overcomers.

This was found at http://www.bible.com/ which answers any questions anyone could have concerning the Bible or God.

Who is God 3of4

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

The three most important things that hasten our daily growth are daily prayer, Bible study and fellowship with like believers. God does not want us to remain babies, but wants us to grow to maturity in Him. Spiritual growth is not measured in earthly years, as our progression can be rapid or slow depending on our submission and obedience to the Lord.

Another important factor that determines our rate of growth is the keeping of a right heart attitude before Him. We must guard this daily lest a wrong attitude settle in our heart and cause us to break fellowship with God. We must quickly repent and ask God to forgive us so we can resume our relationship. I John 1:9 says: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

One of the most effective devices Satan uses to hinder our growth in God is to send an accident, tragedy, illness, financial crisis, etc., and then blame it on God and convince us that God is chastising us for some wrong. This is a lie of the enemy. Our precious Father loved us so much that He sent His Son to die for our sins and save us. If he gave us His most priceless possession, do you think He would deny us any good thing? No, our God came to redeem us from the curse, not put one on us. Satan is the troublemaker, the robber, the thief, the destroyer and the master liar. Jesus, while on earth, went around doing good, healing the sick, setting the captives free and ministering the message of love.

The Lord chastises us through His Word and by the Spirit. When we do wrong, our spirits are chastised and the Holy Spirit speaks to us of our wrong. We step out of God's will by our own choice, thus leaving ourselves open for an attack of the enemy. This is one way the enemy can gain legal ground to bring his forces upon us.

Ignorance of God's Word is another means by which Satan can put things on us. Hosea 4:6, says, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. The enemy constantly tries to bring things on us; if we do not know our rights in Christ and resist him, he can succeed. James 4:7 says, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Satan tries to prevent us from moving foward in the Lord because he knows that when we do, we eventually overcome and defeat him. When we are determined to serve the Lord, then the Lord can take what Satan has meant for evil in our lives and turn it to good. Let us defend the Father and place the blame for evil on Satan where it belongs.

We must get a revelation of who God is and what His will is for us, or we will believe the lies of the devil; and he will destroy our faith. This is the main target of the enemy: our faith. He only uses the problems to get at our faith. He knows if he can destroy our faith in the Lord, he then can destroy us.

Who is God? 2of4

THE BORN AGAIN EXPERIENCE

How can we receive this eyesight? John 12:44-46 tells us; Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. If we simply believe on Him and turn from our wickedness with a repentant heart, He saves us and gives us new eyesight. Old things pass away and we become new creatures in Him. We not only are born again with a new Father, but within us is the potential to become just like His firstborn Son, Jesus.

John 14:12 goes on to say, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
What kind of works was Jesus doing? He went about preaching, teaching, healing the sick, opening blind eyes, opening deaf ears; He performed miracle after miracle. These same works we can do. How can such a thing be possible? This can only be possible through the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:13-21 continues: And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 15:7 gives us the key for becoming like Jesus, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. How can we become like Jesus? Very simply, it is accomplished by abiding or fellowshipping with Jesus and keeping His words. That is why Bible study is an imperative part of our walk with God. The Bible reveals to us the nature of God. The greaest attribute of God is that He is a God of Love.

In I John 4:7-16 we find these words: Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
The kind of love that is mentioned here is not the kind of love that is in the world. God's love is selfless. He gave up His Son that we might live. In Greek there are three words for love: (1) Love that is divine, called "agape"; (2) Love of high ideals, called "phileo" (our city of Philadelphia is named for this brotherly love); and (3) Love of physical passion, called "eros" (our word "erotic" stems from this word). Since the original text of the New Testament was written in Greek we know the verse above was referring to agape love and not the other two. This is evident when we research the Greek manuscripts. (The Old Testament was written in Hebrew with a few passages in Aramaic.)

In studying the Gospels, we find that Jesus died an innocent death on a cross two thousand years ago to pay the penalty for your sins and mine. It was God's great love for us that allowed His Son to suffer death. Jesus conquered sin, death and hell on the cross because He fulfilled the Father's demand for a perfect sacrifice which was an innocent Man without sin. The grave and hell could not hold Him, so He arose victorious and now lives, seated at the right hand of God until the hour for His second coming to this earth. His death and blood atoned for our sins, and if we accept what He has done for us, we need not take the penalty of hell, since He took it for us. Praise God for this sacrifice of love! John 3:16-18 tells of this love: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

To sum up all the verses I have quoted, we conclude that God cannot be seen physically, but we can look at Jesus and see what He did for us on the cross. We see God's love through the sacrificial death of His Son. When we accept what Jesus did, and turn from our sins, we are then born again in the spirit and have new spiritual eyes with which to see God.

What great love to take our punishment upon Himself! He did not deserve it; He never sinned. It was due to His love for you and me that this great sacrifice was made.

Not only did Jesus make a sacrifice by laying down His life, but the Father bore much grief also. God had to forsake His own Son at His most agonizing moment because He, being Holy, could not look upon sin.

Matthew 27:46 says, ... Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying ... My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? The Father's heart was broken too, as He turned His back on Jesus while He was made to be a sin offering for us. II Corinthians 5:21 states, For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The Holy Spirit of God was grieved, as He too endured the shame and suffering of the cross. Since Jesus offered Himself ... through the eternal Spirit ... (Hebrews 9:14), all the members of the Godhead shared equally in the cost of the amazing plan of redemption. What an act of love! God the Father, loving us; God the Son, loving us; and God the Holy Spirit, loving us. It is difficult for man to realize the agony the blessed Trinity experienced for man. These past few pages have covered the plan of salvation and the miracle of God, the new birth. Nicodemus, a man that came to Jesus, did not understand this and asked Jesus what it meant. You can read that story in John 3. Jesus words in John 3:6-7 were, That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
When we experience the new birth we enter into the kingdom of God as a newborn baby, and we must do certain things so that we can grow spiritually.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT...
GOD?
THE TRUE GOD
John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God,and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
KNOWING GOD

It may be difficult for some of us to believe that we can really know God, yet it is true that we can. What does God look like? When we think of God, what kind of image comes to our mind's eye? Do we see God as some sort of superpower that hits us over the head with a big stick when we have been bad? Or does our image of God seem so ethereal that we cannot even imagine that, as humans, we could possibly see Him?

Perhaps we see God in the flowers, the birds, the blue sky, the tall pine trees and the mountains, and that is God to us. Some may even view Him as a kindly old man with a white beard and robe, sitting on a golden throne someplace out there called heaven. Maybe our position is that it is impossible to see God.

What is the real truth about God? What does He look like? Can we really see God? To answer this question, I want to share with you from my own personal experience. Not only have I seen God, but He is my dearest friend, and as His friend, I want to introduce others to Him. We can see and know Him if we turn to Him with our whole heart. Jeremiah 24:7 says, And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

How did I discover Him? Like a lot of other people, I was told about Him. You see He wrote a book, the Bible, and I was given a copy to read. While reading it I discovered that God had a son named Jesus. He sent Him to this world on the greatest mission of all time. The Book He inspired was unlike any book I had ever read. Many things I did not understand, but some of the lines actually seemed to be alive, and seemed as though someone were speaking directly to me through that Book.

Now after many years of reading the Bible, I am very well acquainted with that Someone ; He is the Holy Spirit. He has been a real comfort and a tremendous teacher in my life. I found the Bible was written for the very purpose of answering the question posed at the beginning of this section, What does God look like? We truly can know what God looks like, and not only that, we can know Him very intimately. By reading His Book, the Bible, we can also find the answers to all of our questions and problems.

The first thing we must realize about God is that He loves us. The book of John in the Bible reveals His love in a very beautiful way. He loves us, He created us, and He has a plan for our lives. It is a very exciting and fulfilling plan, and we can know what that plan is for each of us individually. To understand God's plan, we must read His Word, or guide Book. Most of our problems in understanding God stem from things we have heard other people say about Him. Since there are so many people with so many different ideas, we then end up with a multitude of misconceptions about God.

Some parts of the world are blessed to hear more truth about God than others. Yet, much of what we hear is still contaminated with man's ideas and traditions. People in many lands are seeking to know God, but because some have never read or heard His Word or received Him in their hearts personally, they have devised gods of their own. We see this prevalent in many different belief systems ranging from Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and others.

If we are going to know God, we must give His Book and His Word the final authority over every issue in our lives. There has to be one way, and one standard for man to follow. Confusion results when one voice is saying, This is the way, and another says, No, this is the way. Each man has a different way -- his own way.

The Bible tells us about this in the book of Proverbs. Proverbs 21:2 says, Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. In Proverbs 16:25 we find, There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

What is the right way to find God? What does God look like? Perhaps the most simple answer to this question is, God looks like Jesus. We see God by looking at Jesus. How do we look at Him? We accomplish this by studying the record of His life as recorded in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. John 14:1-9 records this account of Jesus words: " Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also; and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it'sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father....".

New news! Lots of news!
Current mood: cold

Well everyone, I went to see a specialist. I actually got a doctor who knows what hes doing this time! He is the same Dr. that does the surgeries for UofM football and Soccer players! So this guy is no quack.

My first surgery will be June 26th and he will go in orthoscopically like the last surgery I had and clean it all up. He found loose bone or cartilidge he doesn't know yet which one is it from looking at just the x-rays. If the piece is really big he is going to have to make an incision a little bigger and flip my kneecap back (yeah I know makes me shutter too thinking about it). Then he will have to drill holes in the cartilidge and tack it back in place. He will also take cartilidge cells and grow them in a lab and then send them to Washington incase later down the road I need a cartilidge transplant he can use my own cartilidge!!! Technology these days crazy huh? Crutches for 6 weeks. After that we will talk about the other knee AGAIN! I am not looking forward to it but better now then later. Because here comes the next news....

We are going to try for a baby when Sergio comes back in December so hopefully we will be going to Florida instead of Italy. It will make it easier on our families if they can see the baby in the early years of his/her life.

We will need all the prayer we can get!

Gone

Well my husband left for Korea May 6th and I am going on my 4th day without him. Its been really hard going to sleep at night without him there. I walk around the house and everything reminds me of him including my silly cat, because he hates her so much. Myspace has been a sole means of communication since hes been there so I am glad for that. I still wish I could just hold him and kiss him once more. Hopefully he will get to come home in December for Christmas and our Anniversary. After that he will have to go back again until May 10th. Then we have until June 30th before we have to be in Italy. So everyday I have been trying to keep myself busy. I have had my nephews since he left, they help keep me busy and then school will start soon. I am taking a class this Spring and will try to get a few in the summer if all goes well. Well thanks to all my friends for all your support and phone calls.

Wise words

This is taken from the About Me section of "Never Forget"
I AM HERE IN ORDER TO REMIND US ALL THAT EVERYDAY WE AWAKE AND LIVE OUR LIVES AND PURSUE OUR DREAMS. THERE ARE OTHERS THAT DO THE SAME . BUT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN US. THESE THAT I AM REFFERING TO AWAKE EVERYDAY AND WANT TO END OUR LIVES AND DESTROY OUR DREAMS. IT IS VITAL THAT WE MAINTAIN OUR CULTURE AND NOT LIVE IN FEAR . IT IS OF GREATER IMPORTANCE THAT WE DESTROY THEY'RE CULTURE AND SINCE THEY DO NOT HAVE FEAR. WE MUST ERASE THEM FROM THE PLANET .IT IS OUR GOAL TO LIVE AND FOR THOSE OF US WHO BELIEVE IN GOD . TO GO TO HEAVEN.IT IS THEIR GOAL TO DIE AND GO TO HEAVEN .THESE ARE NOT STRANGE DAYS WE LIVE IN .THE DAYS ONLY APPEAR STRANGE TO US NOW BECAUSE WE ARE AWARE THEY THEY EXIST . WE ARE CURRENTLY INVOLVED IN WORLD WAR III . THIS WAR DID NOT BEGIN ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 .THAT WAS THE DAY WE COULD NO LONGER DENY THE WAR WAS UNDERWAY .THE MODERN AGE OF TERRORISM BEGAN JULY 22 1946 IN A LAND AN OCEAN AWAY FROM AMERICA . THIS PAGE WILL BE AN OPEN FORMAT FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO DISCUSS AND DEBATE AND LEARN AND TEACH OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER ABOUT THIS WAR. THIS WAR CAN BE WON . THIS WAR CAN BE LOST. THIS WAR HAS TO BE WON. THIS WAR CAN NOT BE LOST . THE MEANING OF THE WORD SOCIETY IS A community, nation, or broad grouping of people having common traditions, institutions, and collective activities and interests. I LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - LAND OF THE FREE - HOME OF THE BRAVE - WE ARE NOT A PERFECT SOCIETY.ALMOST ALL SOCIETIES HAVE POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES. OUR SOCIETY HAS THE MOST POSITIVES AND THE LEAST AMOUNT OF NEGATIVES. THE ONE SOCIETY THAT HAS ALL NEGATIVES AND NO POSITIVES IS NOT A GEOGRAPHIC AREA OF LAND - IT IS NOT A RACE OF PEOPLE - IT IS NOT A RELIGIOUS GROUP - IT IS A PARTICULAR IDEOLOGY - THIS IDEOLOGY IS EVIL - THIS IDEOLOGY IS TERRORISM - THIS IDEOLOGY IS COMING TO GET US - EVERY SECOND - EVERY DAY. WE WILL ANSWER HISTORY'S CALL. WE MUST BE BRAVE OR WE WILL NOT BE FREE. WE MAY NOT EVEN BE ALIVE . THE GREATEST TRICK THE DEVIL EVER MADE WAS CONVINCING THE WORLD HE DID NOT EXIST. ALL PEOPLE OF FAITH, REGARDLESS OF YOUR RELIGION, OWE IT TO EACH OTHER, AND TO ALL OTHER FREE PEOPLE AND THOSE WHO DESIRE TO BE FREE TO NOT ALLOW EVIL DOERS TO COMMIT EVIL ACTIONS IN THE NAME OF GOD. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT WORSHIP GOD - THEY WORSHIP THE DEVIL AND HIS IDEALS. THEY ATTEMPT TO COVER THIS BY WEARING THE MASK OF GOD. THEIR BELIEFS CAN NOT BE CHANGED BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE. WE MUST ERASE THEM. WE MUST TEACH ALL OTHERS WHO DO NOT ALREADY BELIEVE IN EVIL WAYS, THAT THE TERRORIST ARE WRONG. THIS WAR IS A BATTLE FOR MINDS AND SOULS. WE WILL DESTROY THE TERRORISTS. IT IS OF VITAL IMPORTANCE THAT WE MAKE SURE OTHERS DO NOT FALL INTO EVIL WAYS AND FOLLOW. IT IS IMPORTANT TO FREE PEOPLE, IT IS IMPORTANT TO US, IT IS IMPORTANT TO THEM. IGNORANCE IS THE TOOL OF TERRORISM. WE MUST LEARN, WE MUST TEACH, TOGETHER HUMAN BEINGS CAN GO FARTHER.

Moving on

Well the time is almost come when I will be returning back to Michigan. This week (Not the week we are in but the next)will definatley be a crazy one as we start to pack everything up. Then when the weekend comes it gets crazier. (Not this weekend but the next) on Friday he has an award ceremony we are really hoping that he gets Airman of the Year that will make leaving this base even better! Then heading for the 6 hour drive to North Carolina for his brother's birthday. We will spend 4 days with them and then on our way back to South Carolina. My sister will get here on Wednesday and then we will load up Shawn's truck and jump in the car and head for the beach on Thursday. Hopefully at least for the day we can relax and enjoy the time away. Then Friday or Saturday its the long haul back to MI. 14 hours but pulling a trailor it will prolly take closer to 16 hours.

Although being in Michigan will be a relief for us both it means the time is coming closer for Sergio to leave for Korea . We still have to figure out where I will be staying once we get back there and all that. He will have 20 days to do whatever without having to worry about work. That will be a nice vacation for him. He will be there for two full weekends.

Amanda is having a wedding shower for us, so if you haven't gotten an invitation and want to come leave me your address and phone number or get with Amanda about that. It should be a lot of fun and then those of you who haven't met Sergio can.
Well see you all soon I hope!

A new little life

A new little life

Well, my brother had another little boy on February 28th, 2006. I have only seen a picture but from that he is adorable. I wish my brother would learn about birth control, 4 boys is way too many kids for him to handle. I love them all to death but neither one of them deserve those precious kids. It breaks my heart that I know they won't be able to have all the things in life growing up that we were able to have and experience. Growing up with a psychotic mother who doesn't take care of them properly and doesn't treat them all fairly ~ breaks my heart. I wish I could just take them all and raise them myself.

I never question God, but I often wonder why He would let someone like her have so many beautiful children she doesn't deserve. Then there are people out there who truly deserve children who can't have any at all. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't trade any of them for anything in this world. I just wish they had a different mother.
Well, thats all for now from me. Oh yeah by the way the new baby's name is Leeland... I don't like it personally so he's little Lee to me.

THE BIG DAY
Current mood: content
Category: Romance and Relationships

This is for all of you who have been dying to hear the details of our wedding! December 30, 2005 2:15pm at the Sumter County Courthouse Judge Atkinson married Carlos Sergio Hernandez and Rachel Lynn Penley. The day was beautiful about 65 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. Sun shining so brightly. Everything was going perfectly. Vows were exchanged and two became one. Permanetly and forever commiting themselves to one another. After the ceremony we all went to Sears where his parents had pictures taken for us and they turned out GREAT. I will be posting them as soon as I get my computer set up in our new apartment. We also have a video of the wedding if anyone knows how to put that on Myspace please let me know and I will so you all can see it! Then we all went to San Jose's for some really good Mexican food. Then back to his parents hotel where we had cake. The day was wonderful and I couldnt have asked for a more perfect wedding. If it wasn't for everything his parents did for us we would not have had such a wonderful day. I don't know if any of you believe in signs but I have to say I do. Two days before the wedding it was rainy, dark, cold and gloomy, then all of a sudden on Thurs night I seen a shooting star, and I made a wish (yeah I am 21 and still do that, lol). The next day it was BEAUTIFUL, warm and not a cloud in the sky! Then when I went out to Walmart I found a front row parking spot (when does that ever happen!?) Then while in the store I found a checkout lane with NO ONE in it... (once again walmart? empty lane? lol) So I pulled out of the parking lot right behind a wedding coordinator van! So I told everyone that I would let them know when the day was over what I wished... I know you are all waiting to hear what it was so... It was that the day would go perfectly and be special for the both of us. AND IT WAS!! Those who made it out where; Mom and Dad Hernandez (Sergio's parents), Jermaine & Isaiah (Sergio's brothers), Grandma and Grandpa Roediger (Rachel's grandparents), Jennifer Koeppen (aka Hoebag), Lopaka, Watts and Haggen (Guy's Sergio works with). I know that my mom and sister really wanted to make it out but with the
